For its tenth anniversary, the Homewood Suites by Hilton Seattle-Issaquah has a new look from top to bottom. Rowley Properties, the hotel’s owner, completed a full soft goods refresh of the extended-stay hotel and marked the moment with a ribbon cutting reception on Friday, September 25, 2026. New wallpaper, artwork, carpet, and furniture now run throughout the hotel, giving guests what feels like a brand new hotel inside a familiar building.
What changed at the Homewood Suites in Issaquah?
A soft goods refresh replaces the finishes guests see and touch every day, like wall coverings, flooring, furniture, and art. At the Homewood Suites, that work touched the whole hotel, from the lobby to the suites to the meeting spaces.
The goal was simple. Make every stay feel more comfortable and more current, whether a guest is in town for two nights or two months. For an extended-stay hotel, where a suite becomes a temporary home, those details matter. And, as owners, it is important to Rowley Properties that the stay feel uniquely Issaquah with its nature-centric and special touches throughout the building and its courtyard experience.
The new artwork brings a little local humor, too, just in time for the fall salmon run.
How did Issaquah celebrate the refresh?
Guests gathered at the hotel from 3:00 to 5:00 PM for an afternoon reception. They enjoyed catering and a toast, then heard brief remarks before the ribbon cutting.
Kari Magill, CEO of Rowley Properties, hosted the celebration. Issaquah Mayor Mark Mullet and Issaquah City Council member Russell Joe joined representatives from the City of Issaquah, along with Skip Rowley of the Rowley family and Kelly Richardson, commercial broker at Rowley Properties. Representatives from Hilton and several who made this great work happen behind the scenes also attended. From architects, contractors, hotel team, to insurance brokers and Rowley employees, Kari extended her gratitude and thanks for a job well done.
One particular guest brought the day full circle. A representative from GLY, the construction company involved in building the original hotel, was on hand to see the building’s next chapter.
After the ribbon cutting, guests toured the refreshed lobby, a model suite, and the hotel’s meeting spaces.
