Three generations of building community.
Rowley Properties is a third-generation, family business who owns, develops and manages approximately 80 contiguous acres in downtown Issaquah. Unlike other developers, Rowley Properties is local and focuses only upon Issaquah – adapting and redeveloping their properties and business to serve changing community needs. Nobody knows Issaquah better than Rowley Properties.
Over the past 60 years, the family has transformed what was a former dairy farm into a robust, suburban center and destination where business, retail and hospitality thrive. But, our work will never be finished. Our properties are alive. They are living, breathing places that will need continued change. We want them to grow, we want to add things and we want them to become more beautiful, functional and special year after year. And they will get better as we work with the community over time to make these transformations happen.

people working together to better their community
Rowley Properties cares deeply about Issaquah. We have always believed that when you have a strong and vibrant community, you’ll have a healthy and growing business. Thus, giving back is a cornerstone of our values. Rowley Properties focuses our charitable giving in the following areas:
- Community – Making Issaquah better. We tend to support local projects and efforts that aren’t already being supported by large corporations or institutional donors.
- Kids (from birth through high school) – Our future.
- Education – Ensuring Issaquah’s schools are among the best in the nation.
- Arts – Makes life fun and our community interesting.
Some of our larger efforts include co-chairing the six million dollar capital campaign and overseeing construction of our Issaquah Community Center to give our youth a safe, supportive, fun place to go hang out after school; providing a free home for Eastside Baby Corner’s operations for over 20 years (now including over 5000 square feet of space); funding after-school education/enrichment programs for kids; and hosting an annual POPS Concert featuring the Sammamish Symphony for folks in our community – particularly those who can’t afford to attend the arts very often.
Additional philanthropic endeavors include: Village Theater, Issaquah Schools Foundation, Concerts on the Green, Issaquah Chamber of Commerce, Pomegranate Center for Community Collaboration, Rotary, Kiwanis, Friends of the Issaquah Hatchery, Leadership Eastside, Cougar Mountain Zoo, ArtEast, Master Chorus Eastside, Salmon Days, Issaquah Senior Center, Bellevue Schools Foundation, Overlake Hospital and Medical Center, Issaquah Historical Society, Forterra, Junior Achievement, Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank, and many others.
As long time members in the community, we have also contributed to and/or lead many efforts to help ensure Issaquah’s local identity remains intact. Working together with other local organizations we are making Issaquah a better place for all!
a place connected to, and inspired from, its natural surroundings
Rowley Properties has been a local leader in sustainability since the early 1990’s, before “going green” was even popular. Our company’s methods emphasize leading by example. We educate and encourage our tenants to adopt sustainable practices, continuously improve our building performance, purchase recycled materials, and incorporate reasonable sustainable strategies/techniques into our construction projects and property management. Our LEED Gold Certified John L Scott office building and the beautifully restored and enhanced Tibbetts Creek Greenway are two projects we are particularly proud of.
